Evacuated Tube Solar
Solahart’s solar hot water solutions can help you to significantly reduce your energy bills and lessen your carbon footprint. As a leading global manufacturer of solar power products, Solahart has delivered energy savings to both households and businesses for 60 years. In that time, we have produced more than One million units installed in over 70 countries. We were also one of the first companies to use evacuated tubes in solar water heater applications, before concentrating our focus on flat plate collectors.
Whether you opt for evacuated tube or the more common flat plate solar panels, solar hot water is a great way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In Australia, flat plat collectors are by far the most common solution for domestic solar applications; Solahart only manufacture and sell flat plate collectors. Being both reliable and cost effective, flat plate collectors have a number of advantages over evacuated tubes:
- Flat plate collectors are better suited to roof top solar systems. Evacuated tube solar systems are almost entirely split solar systems.
- Flat plate collectors do not suffer from performance degradation due to loss of vacuum which is common with evacuated tubes.
- Flat plate collectors are manufactured with toughened glass to provide a stronger, safer application when installed on the roof. Evacuated tube collectors cannot be manufactured from toughened glass.
